Meet the Team
Carly Mens
Owner and Office Manager
While our construction team is on site, Carly keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes at Rembrandt. She is involved in all aspects of office administration, accounting, marketing, and communications. Born and raised in North Vancouver, Carly has a degree in biology and enjoys singing, baking, and spending time in nature with her family.
Karl Byrne
Site Supervisor and Lead Carpenter
Karl is a talented, ticketed journeyman carpenter and joiner, with over 20 years experience. A true craftsman, Karl is dedicated to beautiful results. Karl consistently delivers high quality work on every home renovation, devising creative and elegant solutions tailored to each project. Karl enjoys snowboarding, whitewater kayaking, and exploring the Lower Mainland with his young family.
Brad Hogg
Journeyman Carpenter
Originally from Ontario, Brad brings over 30 years’ experience as a skilled carpenter to the Rembrandt Team. Brad finds joy in challenging carpentry projects, particularly heritage and restoration work. Outside of work, Brad makes the most of what the North Shore has to offer as an avid mountain biker, cross-country skier and hockey goaltender. When not in motion, Brad always has a book on the go. Brad has been married to his wife, Brenda, for 35 years and has two sons.
John Raffin
Carpenter's Apprentice
John’s inquisitive personality and great work ethic make him an invaluable member of the Rembrandt team. After work, you might find John checking out a craft brewery or exploring the Lower Mainland on his motorcycle. An explorer at heart with a keen interest in history, he has traveled all over the world with plans for more adventures!
